The Canadian Business magazine was founded in Montreal in 1928. Sold many times since its creation, the magazine now belongs to Rogers Communications who created a digital version of his paper edition. This website is powered by three bloggers (Chris Macdonald, Mike Moffat and Peter Nowak) all recognized in the business community for their studies and achivements. Also, there is an art director, a director of photography and two designers working together to make this website an authoratitave source for business news. This website was created for any Canadian who wants to know more about Canadian business.

By definition, the website of Canadian Business is an important source of business information. It gives advice to smart, ambitious and devoted Canadians who want to succeed and become richer. By putting together the lastest developments on the Canadian economy, this website increases the understanding of the reader about the business world. This website is clearly related to business, my field of study, because it gives a clear idea of how works the Canadian economy. Thus, this website allows beginners and foreigners to know more about the Canadian ecomonic system and its foundation. As a beginner in this field of study, I actually study administration at Ahuntsic College in Montreal. This pre-university program provides the training required to persue a bachelor's degree in business administration in order to become a manager.

Always, men and women try to excel in many aspects of their lives. Sports, love and work are relevant areas where they want to perform. In our society, performance leads to power and it  motivates people to succeed in their occupations. In the field of business, performance and success are important. In fact, global competition forces companies to review their working methods in order to be as productive and efficient as possible. In this regard, several aspects should be considered by the company to achieve their objectives. An important aspect is employee selection. They represent key success factor for companies. Thus, it's essential to choose the good manager to ensure the prosperity of the company. There are three skills a manager must have to become a good manager.

1. Communication

Firstly, the most important skill a manager must have is a good communication. This means being able to communicate, in an efficient way, some important information or ideas to his team work. A good communication is also important to increase the confidence  his colleagues have in him. Imagine if your boss does not talk to you, would you be inclined to talk to him back? In addition, the communication between a manager and his team ensures the cooperation and the performance of the working team. Finally, this skill a manager must have often leads to a good and efficient work environment because all the information related to the employee's task are clearly established and known to all.

2. Adaptability

Another important skill a good manager must have is adaptability. This means that the manager is able to adapt to every situation and be inclined to review his working methods in order to solve the problem. This skill is also important because every employee works in his own way and they all live in different situations and conditions. For instance, in the case of a pregnant woman, the manager needs to adapt the work environment or the tasks in order to protect the mother and her child. Finally, adaptability is a very important skill a good manager must have because it is one of its principal task to face problematic situations.

3. Leadership

Moreover, a good manager has to be a leader. This quality a manager must have had the effect of motivating the work team. Besides, this motivation creates a sense of belonging which increases the employee commitment to the company. This feeling of being an important part of the company forces and motivates employees to give the best of them. In other words, a manager who is a good leader motivates the team which allows the prosperity of the company.
